Senior Director, Investor Relations

Location: Location: Waltham, MA or San Francisco, CA; candidates located in one of these hubs are preferred.

About the Company

Damora Therapeutics is an innovative biotechnology company that aims to fundamentally redefine care for people with hematologic disorders. We are advancing a new generation of biologics to treat mutant calreticulin-driven myeloproliferative neoplasms, including essential thrombocythemia and myelofibrosis, where there is significant medical need for new disease-modifying treatments. With multiple programs with best-in-class potential entering clinical development in 2026, our goal is to rapidly bring forward optimized treatments with broad mutation coverage and exceptional convenience to dramatically improve patient outcomes.

This is a unique opportunity to join a science-driven company at a formative stage, where early clinical data will directly shape development strategy and drive long-term value. The right candidate will join a team with significant development experience, with the goal of quickly moving through dose escalation/expansion into pivotal trials.

About the Position

As the Senior Director of Investor Relations, you will help shape and communicate Damora’s clinical and corporate narrative so the investment community fully understands the value of our pipeline. Based in Boston (Waltham) or San Francisco and reporting to the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer (CCAO), you will serve as the primary bridge to institutional investors and sell-side analysts, building credibility, broadening our shareholder base, and supporting long-term stock performance.

Working closely with investor-facing executives including the Chief Executive Officer, you will define and deliver a clear equity story that reflects our strategic priorities, scientific and clinical progress, and competitive position. You will lead planning and execution of strategic investor engagement, including buyside targeting, corporate access initiatives, and sellside management, while routinely sharing market and investor insights with executive and program leaders at Damora. An additional component of your role will be to lead our competitive intelligence efforts in coordination with Commercial Strategy and New Product Planning, which sits within the Corporate Affairs organization.

What You'll Do

Investor Relations Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the overall IR operating plan, partnering with the Executive Team to develop, articulate, and continuously refine a clear, differentiated, and durable equity story delivered through strategic investor communications and engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with buyside and institutional investors, overseeing investor targeting, shareholder analyses, perception measurement activities, and other qualitative insights gathering to inform engagement strategy.
  • Foster strong, trusted relationships with sellside analysts, leveraging corporate access activities and other tools, while closely monitoring models.
  • Plan and execute investor communications and rapid-response activities around market-moving events (e.g., clinical data readouts, competitive developments, regulatory actions).
  • Organize investor roadshows, conferences, investor days, and strategic investor meetings and ensure senior leader preparedness and message alignment.
  • Lead annual and quarterly financial results preparation and execution, including development of press releases, investor presentations, scripts and Q&A, in collaboration with Finance and Legal.
  • Monitor macroeconomic conditions, capital markets trends, and industry developments relevant to the equity story; incorporate competitive intelligence into regular, executive-ready briefings for the Executive Team and Board.
  • Partner broadly with functions across the company to develop compelling investor materials and establish and maintain rigorous disclosure governance and controls to ensure accurate and Reg FD compliant communications.
  • Support development of proxy statements and conduct of shareholder meetings and lead related engagement with stewardship teams for institutional shareholders and proxy advisors (e.g., ISS and Glass Lewis). Define and maintain a right-sized approach to ESG reporting.
  • Own and manage IR budget and IR service providers; build scalable processes aligned with the company’s growth trajectory.

Competitive Intelligence Responsibilities

This role will also formalize Damora’s existing, informal competitive intelligence practices into a standardized, company-wide process, working closely with the Vice President, Commercial Strategy and New Product Planning:

  • Oversee cross-functional gathering, analysis and internal dissemination of competitive intelligence — clinical, regulatory, commercial, and capital markets — in partnership with R&D, Medical, Commercial, Finance, and other functions.
  • Own the cadence and format for competitive assessments and briefings, combining internally sourced intelligence with external monitoring and CI partner outputs, ensuring consistent, timely distribution across the organization.
  • Manage relationships with external competitive intelligence and monitoring partners, including scope, service quality, and check-in cadence, to ensure alerts and reports are consistently triaged and routed to the right decision-makers.
  • Maintain, directly or through licensed partner platforms, a central repository of competitor programs, catalysts, and market developments accessible to key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate competitive intelligence planning for major medical conferences, including abstract triage and session prioritization, in partnership with Medical Affairs and Commercial.
  • Partner closely with Commercial/New Product Planning to translate competitive insights into clear, actionable recommendations for the Program Team, Executive Team and Board, ensuring insights inform both the strategic and investor-facing narratives, as well as development and commercial strategy.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Finance, or related field; MBA, PhD, or equivalent designation is highly preferred.
  • 10 years of progressive experience in investor relations, business development or corporate strategy, investment banking, or equity research with meaningful exposure to publicly traded life sciences companies and deep understanding of what can drive and undermine value in the eyes of investors.
  • Demonstrated ability to own an IR program end-to-end and advise/influence at the executive level to achieve positive business outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. securities regulations, disclosure governance, and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; experienced in earnings preparation and external communications for a public company, and experience and comfort delivering the corporate story in group and individual meetings.
  • Strong analytical capability, including comfort with financial models and investor/analyst valuation methodologies.
  • Executive presence and proven ability to engage effectively with senior executives, Boards of Directors, and sophisticated institutional investors.
  • Experience managing budgets, vendors, and external advisors.
  • Experience building or contributing to competitive intelligence, market research, or strategic insights processes within a biopharma organization strongly preferred.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and composure under pressure.
