Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Plant Engineer to join our team! As a Manufacturing Plant Engineer, you will be overseeing the manufacturing engineering processes to ensure they fall in line with our policies and procedures and design new strategies for future projects and procedures to create better overall processes. You will also assist in training new engineers, developing clear goals for the engineer team, and coordinating with external suppliers as needed for projects and equipment. The ideal candidate has a strong manufacturing engineering background, excellent communication skills, and strong project management skills.

Essential Functions
1. Provides advice, guidance, and direction, to carry out major plans and projects.
2. Manages, maintains, and implements the capital budget.
3. Coordinates the activities of Maintenance and Plant Engineering toward a common goal such as:
  • Installation of new equipment.
  • Technology.
  • Completion of major shutdown projects.
4. Make specific recommendations on assigned projects, after evaluating practical alternatives through the use of appropriate engineering techniques.
5. Provide engineering assistance to manufacturing.
6. Analyzes new technologies, and makes recommendations based on those analyses.
7. Plans and develops manufacturing facilities and equipment for efficient production of products.
8. Maintain a safe working environment and report all safety and / or environmental problems to responsible management personnel.
9. Assist in any area of the operation when and if required where his / her work experience or knowledge will help accomplish the objectives of the organization.

Principal Duties/Tasks
1. Ensure all safety elements are accomplished within area of responsibility.
2. Provide direction, coordination, and guidance to all personnel in Engineering.
3. Select, motivate, evaluate, train and discipline Engineering Department subordinates.
4. Provide engineering assistance to all manufacturing service and Administrative Departments.
5. Provide engineering assistance to customers as requested.
6. Provide assistance to Administrative Departments in the development of administrative and cost control procedures.
7. Recommend changes in methods of operation to reduce costs and/or improve productivity.
8. Maintain sound labor relations climate through consistent adherence to and application of labor agreement, plant rules and regulations.
9. Maintain Engineering departments consistent with and in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, Policies and Practices.
10. To make specific recommendations on assigned projects, after evaluating practical alternatives through the use of appropriate engineering techniques.
11. Direct and coordinate the new Capital project cost estimating procedure, make analysis of inquiries and make recommendations to management as to manufacturing facility requirements.



Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Masters in Engineering or comparable degree
  • Strong project management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills

Salary : $83,957 - $115,467
