JOB TITLE: Assistant Property Manager

STATUS: Full-Time, Non-exempt

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, 8am to 5pm

LOCATION: Kansas City, MO

COMPENSATION: $21.00 – 23.00 per hour

Our community in Kansas City, MO is looking for an enthusiastic, team-player to be the Assistant Property Manager over 184 apartment units. Our onsite team gets the privilege of providing quality housing and exceptional customer service for their Residents. The Assistant Property Manager is to assist the Property Manager in effectively and efficiently managing the assigned property. The Assistant Manager is directly responsible for providing customer service to current and prospective residents, and providing administrative assistance to the Property Manager.

Dalmark Management Group is a regional property management and real estate development company, working primarily in Kansas and Missouri. Dalmark was formed to provide innovative and quality residential property services for both conventional and affordable housing communities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain a positive customer relations attitude
  • Greet prospective resident, show community, and perform leasing duties to ensure the community is rented to its fullest capacity
  • Answer and handle incoming phone calls from prospective residents, current residents, vendors/suppliers, etc.
  • Accept resident/commercial tenant Work Order requests and enter them into the software program and route to maintenance for prompt processing
  • Confirm all leases and corresponding paperwork are completed and input to the software system accurately and on a timely basis, including all recertifications
  • Ensure current resident files are properly maintained
  • Ensure all administrative paperwork is accurate, complete and submitted on a timely basis
  • Deal with resident concerns and requests on timely basis to ensure resident satisfaction with management
  • Ensure that all rents and late fees/check charges are collected, posted and deposited in a timely manner
  • Issues appropriate resident notices when necessary (i.e. late payments, eviction notices, returned payment memos)

  • Dependability and attendance – it is expected to arrive on time to work each day
  • Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with residents, employees, and vendors
  • Excellent time management skills and must be detail oriented
  • Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), excellent grammar, spelling and proofreading skills, and follow up effectively with all staffing levels
  • Ability to work in team oriented environment
  • Ability to work independently in a time sensitive environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload, multi-task, adapts quickly to change, and deliver under the pressure of deadlines
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

SKILLS

  • Required: Experience and expertise with Microsoft Office
  • Preferred: Experience with a property management software program (Yardi, OneSite, etc.)

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Required: High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience in onsite multifamily property management
  • Required: Administrative experience

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
