Job Summary
The Campus Security Officer will provide security and safety support for the Dallas campus.
Regular shift hourly rate - $16.80 / Midnight shift hourly rate - $18.30

Duties/Responsibilities

Patrol campus, check buildings, residential facilities, and parking lots; identify and address unauthorized individuals.

Interact with people.

Provide an armed, visible security presence on Campus.

Issue parking decals, perform computer work, and complete administrative tasks.

Investigate incidents, write reports, and respond to calls for service.

Observe and report safety issues.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid Texas Level 3 (Commissioned) Armed Security Officer license (requires successful completion of required Level 2 and Level 3 training through a Texas DPS-approved provider)
Education and Experience:
- A college degree preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to climb, walk, balance, kneel, reach, lift up to 50 pounds, talk, and hear.
- Comfort working in varying outside weather conditions, including during inclement weather when other officers may be unable to reach campus.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
