Who you are:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in geriatric care or equivalent role.
- Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated
- Must have the skills to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
- Must possess effective interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to deal tactfully and pleasantly with residents, families, staff, visitors, and general public
- Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to communicate and present in person, in writing, and on the telephone effectively in English
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Responsible for creating, adjusting, updating, and finding appropriate coverages for floor staff working in the Health Care Center
- Assists Administrators with the hiring and training process, including continuing education as required by local, state and Federal guidelines
- Provides New Hire support by meeting, greeting and communicating with new employees and assuring trainings are completed before providing schedules for floor assignments
- Prepares daily staffing report for review by the Administrator
- Approves timecards and time off requests for floor staff
- Reviews turnover reports and assists with retention plans.
- Participates in the planning and implementation of employee engagement events.
- Participates in on-call rotation
