Dallas Regional Medical Center is a 202-bed acute care hospital accredited by The Joint Commission that offers a wide range of medical services including 24/7 emergency care, cardiology, wound care, surgical services, cardiac catheterization, and imaging. The hospital is the only Certified Stroke Center, Accredited Chest Pain Center, and Labor and Delivery Unit in the area. In addition, Dallas Regional is the only Trauma Center for 13 miles, and was the first Accredited Geriatric Emergency Room in Dallas County. The hospital is a recipient of Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Awards, 15 Healthgrades Five-Star ratings over the past three years, and Straight "A" Hospital Safety Grades from The Leapfrog Group since 2018. Responsibilities

The Referral Coordinator is responsible for referral operations at assigned clinics, establishing and standardizing systems and procedures for the distribution and use of health information throughout the organization, coordinating and referral functions with all other departments. Referral Coordinators are responsible for ensuring that all patient and accounts are financially secure by means of verification of insurance information, authorization of procedures, validating of patient demographics. Responsibilities include managing outgoing and incoming referrals, appointment scheduling, patient check-in, answering phones, and chart management. Responsible for performing various administrative, secretarial and clerical duties.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. High School Graduate or equivalent.

2. One year of medical office experience

3. Knowledge of standard insurance companies and verification requirements.

4. Familiar with Medical billing, Insurances and program processes preferred.

5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
