What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Assistant, University Communications position at Dallas Baptist University?
GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
The primary responsibility is to assist with administrative tasks in support of the Marketing and Communications Department.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide administrative support for the Director of Marketing and Communications and the MarComm Staff
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly, provide assistance/information as needed
- Take messages for office personnel and deliver them in a timely and accurate manner
- Coordinate and oversee office staff duties as it relates to administrative tasks
- Oversee print production tasks for campus needs
- Communicate with print vendors regarding quotes, timelines, and production specifications
- Track print orders and ensure timely delivery to campus clients
- Maintain inventory of commonly used printed materials
- Manage all credit card purchases and receipts
- Oversee invoice and reimbursement processing for the department
- Coordinate and track incoming marketing project requests and route them to appropriate team members
- Follow up with campus departments regarding incomplete project requests or needed information
- Perform other duties as assigned
WORK SCHEDULE:
Regular office hours are between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.
WORK LOCATION:
This position will work on the main campus, located at 3000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Christian and a member of a church that holds to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing in the New and Old Testaments of the Holy Bible.
