What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admissions Counselor for Enrollment Partnerships position at Dallas Baptist University?
GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
The Admissions Counselor for Enrollment Partnerships should be self-motivated, able to operate with minimal supervision, organized, professional, detail-oriented, a capable communicator, and willing to work flexible hours.The role of the Admissions Counselor for Enrollment Partnerships is to recruit high schools across Texas to support dual credit enrollment through partnership with DBU. The Admissions Counselor for Enrollment Partnerships should be able to encourage and walk with the high school administration, parents, and students to answer admission questions as well as host events on campus to assist students in recruiting, enrolling, and completing college level classes at DBU.
QUALIFICATIONS:
This Admissions Counselor for Enrollment Partnerships should have good communication skills. He or she should be familiar with the admissions process and be motivated to achieve goals for recruitment and enrollment.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Assist in coordinating recruiting events for Pre-College Academy students both on the high school campus and on DBU’s campus.
•Organize and assist in the admissions/advising/registration process for dual credit high school students.
•Provide support to prospective and current Pre-College Academy students and families.
•Work cooperatively with marketing and the Academic Dean’s office to promote and strengthen the PCA program.
•Support Advance Registration for freshmen students.
•Support Patriot Preview activities.
•Conduct written and telephone correspondence with prospective students; maintain consistent personal calls with applicants and prospects.
•Travel to in-town or out-of-town recruiting events.
•Work with admissions staff to aid in any clerical and administrative tasks.
•Meet enrollment and task related goals.
•Provide support to university events on behalf of Undergraduate Admissions.
•Coordinate and carry out tasks and projects assigned by the Senior Director of Enrollment Partnerships or Associate Vice President for Enrollment.
•Other duties as assigned.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Regular office hours between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, but occasionally flexible hours will be required. Registration Saturdays and periodic evening or weekend special events will also be required.
WORK LOCATION:
This position will work on the main campus, located at 3000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211
Qualifications:
- Must be a Christian who is a member of a church that holds Jesus Christ to be their Savior and Lord, and who holds solely the Old Testament and the New Testament as sacred Scriptures.
