What are the responsibilities and job description for the Academic Records Clerk/Receptionist position at Dallas Baptist University?
GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
The Academic Records Clerk/Receptionist performs all functions connected with registration and serves as receptionist for the Registrar's Office. The Academic Records Clerk/Receptionist also assists the Transcript Evaluator in evaluation of transcripts.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Performs all functions connected with registration including entering classes for registration of students, adding and dropping classes, and withdrawing classes.
- Prepares and organizes registration appeals to be heard by the Registration Appeals Committee. Distributes decision letters and other necessary documents to the Cashier's Office. Sends decision letters to students. Images all Registration and Academic Appeals as needed.
- Assists with maintaining student files in Colleague including address changes, name changes, FERPA releases, and demographic forms.
- Assists Transcript Evaluator with evaluating transfer credit, tracking and processing Permission Request forms, and copying/emailing Transfer Equivalency Reports.
- Acts as liaison between Registrar’s Office and Parchment, as well as processes transcript requests as needed.
- Processes requests for grade reports and copies of schedules.
- Processes skip-trace and alumni information changes.
- Receives, date-stamps, and distributes mail to staff on a daily basis.
- Documents the use of the shredder by other offices and oversees the shredding of confidential documents.
- Processes and images education and enrollment verification requests received over the fax, in person, through email, or over the phone.
- Oversees the maintenance of the vault and maintains supplies/forms needed by the office.
- Updates the Registrar Policy Book as needed.
WORK SCHEDULE:
This is a full-time position with regular office hours between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.
WORK LOCATION:
This position will work on the main campus, located at 3000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211

- Must be a Christian and a member of a church that holds to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing in the New and Old Testaments of the Holy Bible.
