VP, New Product Development (Hybrid, Greater Philly)
A global healthcare products company, located in the greater Philly area is seeking a Vice President, New Product Development (NPD) to lead its innovation strategy and new product pipeline. This executive role sits on the senior leadership team and owns the full lifecycle of product development, from concept through commercialization, driving profitable growth through differentiated, high-quality products.
Compensation: $200,000-250,000 base bonus
What You’ll Do:
Lead the company’s new product development and innovation strategy aligned with growth objectives
Own the NPD pipeline, stage-gate, and governance processes
Evaluate new technologies, products, partnerships, and acquisition opportunities
Drive speed-to-market while maintaining technical rigor, quality, and regulatory compliance
Oversee competitive analysis to define product differentiation and value propositions
Partner closely with Marketing, Operations, Regulatory, Legal, Finance, and Manufacturing
Build and lead high-performing, multidisciplinary R&D teams
Serve as the senior technical authority for innovation, risk assessment, and decision-making
What We’re Looking For:
PhD required in Chemistry, Engineering, or related scientific discipline (MBA a plus)
15 years of R&D leadership experience (medical device required; dental preferred)
Proven track record of bringing products from concept to market
Strong knowledge of design controls, quality systems, and global medical device regulations
Experience with manufacturing scale-up, verification & validation, and risk management
Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder communication skills
