Our client, located in Southern Maine, is seeking a Tax Manager to join their team. This individual will work independently and with other Managers and Partners within the firm to maintain the existing client base and provide training and development to staff members. The Manager will be responsible for an assigned group of clients in various industries and the delivery of a full range of services.

Our client, located in Southern Maine, is seeking a Tax Manager to join their team. This individual will work independently and with other Managers and Partners within the firm to maintain the existing client base and provide training and development to staff members. The Manager will be responsible for an assigned group of clients in various industries and the delivery of a full range of services.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Advise clients on a full spectrum of tax services, including planning, research, and compliance.
- Prepare and/or review tax returns for corporations, flow-through entities, and individuals.
- Consult on a variety of tax issues and carry out the related research
- Proactively interact with key client management to make business and tax recommendations
- Supervise, train/develop, and assess the performance of tax accountants
- Perform other accounting and tax compliance-related tasks as assigned
- Be actively involved in all aspects of marketing the firm
- Assume an active role in sales calls, fee quotes, proposal preparation, and presentations
- 5-plus years of accounting and tax experience with a public accounting firm
- Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
- Master’s of Science Degree in Taxation a plus
- CPA license preferred
Salary : $130,000 - $160,000
