Senior Accounting Manager - Remote (EST Time Zone) - FinTech
Our team is working with a leading CRM platform designed for financial advisors looking to hire a Senior Accounting Manager for their growing team. The role centers on leading the end-to-end monthly close process to achieve a 5-7 day cycle, ensuring ASC 606-compliant revenue recognition for subscription contracts, preparing financial statements, management reports, and board materials, and conducting precise account reconciliations with variance analysis in partnership with FP&A. It also involves optimizing the accounting tech stack (Rillet, Stripe, Brex), documenting policies, controls, and SOPs, and overseeing AP/AR workflows to build scalable infrastructure for growth. Additionally, the position requires collaborating with leadership on audits, investor reporting, and strategic initiatives, acting as a thought partner to challenge assumptions, and working cross-functionally with Finance, People Ops, and other teams to align accounting with business operations and enhance decision-making.

Responsibilities:
Own the end-to-end monthly close process and drive continuous improvement toward a 5-day close cycle
Own revenue recognition processes and ensure ASC 606 compliance across monthly, annual, and multi-year subscription contracts
Prepare accurate, timely financial statements, management reports, and board materials
Lead account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with precision and urgency
Partner with FP&A on variance analysis and deliver actionable insights to leadership
Optimize our accounting tech stack (Rillet, Stripe, Brex) to drive efficiency and automation
Establish and document accounting policies, controls, and standard operating procedures
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows
Build scalable processes and infrastructure that support rapid company growth
Partner closely with leadership on audit preparation, investor reporting, and strategic finance initiatives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Finance, People Ops, and other departments to align accounting practices with business operations, support strategic decision-making, and improve financial processes and controls
Qualifications:
5-7 years of accounting experience in public accounting (Big 4/regional firm) or in-house at a high-growth company; SaaS experience preferred
CPA strongly preferred
Deep expertise in revenue recognition (ASC 606) with hands-on experience implementing and optimizing rev rec processes
Experience with modern ERP systems (Rillet, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar), billing platforms (Stripe), and expense management systems (Brex, Ramp)
Systems-savvy with a strong bias toward automation and using AI/technology to drive efficiency
