Investment Onboarding Associate - Boston, MA
We are seeking candidates for an experienced and highly organized Investment Onboarding Associate to join a highly successful financial services firm located in Boston, MA. This position will lead the successful execution of complex client and product events across global regions. This role plays a critical part in managing transitions for separate accounts and commingled funds, new product launches, mandate changes, and fund liquidations, while ensuring alignment with internal processes and client objectives. You will collaborate closely with relationship managers, investment teams, and operational stakeholders to drive high-quality outcomes and enhance the overall client experience. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in investment management, with demonstrated expertise in operations, transitions, and product events.
This is a 7-month contract position that will pay $40-45/hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour work week. This position is required to be onsite 4 days per week in their Boston office.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the planning and execution of key client and product events, including:
Separate account and commingled fund funding
Mandate and custodial changes
ETF, mutual fund, and commingled product launches
Fund liquidations, terminations, and in-kind transactions
Coordinate cross-functional teams globally to ensure timely, accurate event execution.
Evaluate complexity and risks, ensuring all internal protocols and compliance standards are met.
Serve as a central point of contact for internal stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and efficient delivery.
Own the investment-side implementation process alongside portfolio management teams.
Contribute to firm-wide projects and process improvements to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
Review contracts and agreements for alignment with business and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; CFA, MBA, or equivalent experience preferred.
5-7 years of experience in investment management, with demonstrated expertise in operations, transitions, and product events.
Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives across geographies.
Deep knowledge of investment products, structures, and industry regulations.
Strong project management and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Adept at driving consensus and making decisions in high-stakes situations.
