We are seeking an experiencedCompensation Specialist to join a top-tier financial services firm located in Boston, MA. The Compensation Specialist will be responsible for managing compensation programs and processes, including market analysis and pricing, internal equity reviews, job evaluations, and providing strategic recommendations on salary structures, bonuses, and incentive plans. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of compensation consulting experience within a highly regulated industry.
This is a 5 month contract opportunity offering $65–$73 per hour, commensurate with experience. The position is required to be onsite 3 days per week and remote 2 days per week in their Boston office.Responsibilities:
Support compensation programs and administration processes
Perform market pricing and analysis using survey data
Provide recommendations on salaries, bonuses, incentives, and market trends
Conduct internal equity reviews and job evaluations
Manage equity, incentive, and year-end merit planning
Prepare compensation reports and data analysis to guide decision-making
Partner with HR leaders and business partners to ensure alignment with compensation policies
Collaborate with the HR reporting team to maintain accurate and timely HRIS data
Contribute to compensation project planning, coordination, and execution
Provide additional support as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
3-5 years of compensation experience in a highly regulated industry, with expertise in base salary and incentive compensation plan management
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
Experience with HRIS systems (Workday preferred)
Strong knowledge of compensation laws and regulations, including FLSA
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Strong analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
