Fund Accountant - Investment Management - Minneapolis, MN
We are seeking candidates for a Fund Accountant position with a highly successful investment management firm located in Minneapolis, MN. The Fund Accountant will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality fund accounting services while supporting client satisfaction and adherence to internal standards and service-level agreements. This role partners with internal teams, shared services, and external stakeholders to resolve issues, manage workflows, and ensure seamless operational delivery. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of fund accounting experience within a financial services environment.
This is a 12-month contract position that will pay $30-34/hr (depending on experience). This position supports a hybrid work model.
Responsibilities:
Ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness of fund accounting deliverables
Review, investigate, and resolve accounting discrepancies and operational issues
Collaborate with internal teams, shared services, and external partners to meet service standards
Assign and coordinate work to meet deadlines and workflow requirements
Provide training, coaching, and oversight to junior staff
Support process improvements and operational efficiencies
Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Escalate risks and unusual or suspicious activity in accordance with internal policies
Adhere to established procedures, controls, and documentation standards
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
2–4 years of fund accounting and/or custody experience
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
