Development Accountant - Boston
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage accounting and reporting across a diverse real estate portfolio. This role offers collaboration with Development, Construction, Design, and Property Management teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Compensation: $70,000-90,000 bonus
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly accounting tasks including billing, collections, cash management, and accounts payable.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial packages, balance sheet reconciliations, and income statement analysis.
- Support development funding requisitions, CAM/RET reconciliations, and tax reporting.
- Assist with system improvements, reporting templates, and ad hoc financial projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred but not required
- 2–4 years of real estate, development, or property accounting experience
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with JD Edwards, Yardi, or similar systems a plus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
