This role oversees day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting across multiple entities, with a focus on real estate development and project-based accounting. The position supports leadership with budgeting, compliance, underwriting, and financial strategy.

This role oversees day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting across multiple entities, with a focus on real estate development and project-based accounting. The position supports leadership with budgeting, compliance, underwriting, and financial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, cash flow, and multi-entity financial records
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Support grant compliance, funding draws, and financial reporting to lenders, investors, and government agencies
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with senior leadership
- Coordinate audit preparation and tax filings with external auditors and accounting firms
- Maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies
- Provide financial analysis and support for project underwriting and development activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
- 5 years of accounting experience; real estate development or affordable housing experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, real estate accounting, joint ventures, and equity waterfalls
- Familiarity with affordable housing financing structures (e.g., LIHTC, HOME, CDBG, HUD) highly desirable
- Experience managing multi-entity structures and coordinating tax filings
- Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Yardi, MRI) and advanced Excel skills
