Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and organized Food Service Coordinator (Per Diem) to join our team in Farmingdale, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining an efficient and clean work environment.

Responsibilities

• Put away all incoming deliveries in a timely and organized manner.
• Lift and carry items up to 35 lbs. as needed.
• Ensure proper rotation of food items to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
• Stock and restock both kitchens with necessary items to maintain smooth operations.
• Clean and maintain freezers and refrigerators according to proper sanitation standards.
• Maintain accurate logs for fridge, freezer, and storeroom temperatures.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
• Assist with running the trayline as needed to support meal service.
• Check and ensure all food items are properly dated and labeled.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout both kitchens at all times.

Qualifications

• Ability to work a 15 hour shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of proper food rotation and sanitation standards.
• Experience in kitchen operations or food service preferred.
• Ability to maintain accurate logs and records.
• Reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
