Excavation Foreman

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Excavation Foreman to lead and oversee excavation projects on construction sites. This role is vital in ensuring that excavation activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and a thorough understanding of excavation processes, construction management software, and project scheduling. As an Excavation Foreman, you will coordinate teams, manage resources, and ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle, contributing to the successful delivery of complex construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise excavation crews to ensure timely and safe completion of excavation tasks
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to align excavation activities with project plans and schematics
• Review blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to interpret project requirements accurately
• Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, and Connect Team for scheduling, tracking progress, and managing budgets
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards (OSHA), specifications, and best practices
• Oversee site safety protocols, including hazard assessments and use of equipment.
• Manage daily reports, incident documentation, and communication logs to maintain comprehensive project records
• Supervise equipment operation including pipeline installation tools and heavy machinery to optimize productivity
• Ensure compliance with contracts and construction regulations while maintaining high standards of workmanship

Requirements

• Proven management experience in construction supervision with a focus on excavation or heavy civil projects
• Extensive construction site experience with knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating
• Familiarity with construction management software.
• Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and procedures for excavation work
• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret schematics accurately
• Supervising experience in managing teams with a focus on quality control and safety compliance
• Knowledge of contracts management and construction budgeting processes

• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with diverse teams and stakeholders
