Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary
Dale E. Percy Inc. is a fast- growing excavation and construction company. We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections, and maintaining strong customer relationships. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial software, and exceptional data entry and analysis. The successful applicant will contribute to the efficiency of our revenue cycle management and support compliance with industry standards. Billing and Invoicing

• Process scale house tickets daily; verify materials, quantities, pricing, and customer accounts.
• Prepare and send T&M invoices using signed field tickets, labor/equipment rates,
• and job details.
• Manage Lump Sum billing, including progress billing, retainage, and change orders.
• Prepare and submit AIA pay applications, including SOV updates and stored materials.
• Maintain accurate billing logs and calendars for all AR types.

Documentation & Reconciliation

· Track open tickets, missing signatures, and incomplete job information

· Reconcile daily ticket batches with dispatch logs and production reports

· Maintain customer accounts, pricing lists, and tax-exempt certificates

· Support month-end close with AR aging, reporting, and documentation

Customer Communication & Collections

· Send invoices and statements promptly

· Follow up on overdue accounts professionally and consistently

· Resolve billing discrepancies with customers, foremen, and project managers

· Maintain strong, positive relationships with repeat customers

What You Bring

· Experience in construction billing or AR preferred (AIA experience a plus)

· Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers

· Ability to read tickets, job logs, and basic construction documentation

· Excellent communication skills with customers and internal teams

· Proficiency with Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Foundation, etc.)

· Ability to stay organized in a fast-moving, multi-project environment
