Primary Objective
Evaluates quality of tile during manufacturing process to ensure specifications are met.
Major Function and Scope
While performing the duties of this job, the employeeis regularly required tostand, use hands andreach withhands and arms. The employeeis required towalk, stoop, kneel,crouchor crawl. The employee may sit, climb, balance, talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this positionincludesclose vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Evaluates quality of tile during manufacturing process to ensure specifications are met.
Major Function and Scope
- Performs quality checks on work in progress for thickness, size, gloss, color, etc.
- Inspects product samples to ensure quality standards are met.
- Audits glaze line operations to ensure applicators are performing efficiently.
- Documents test results.
- Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
- Follows standard operating procedures.
- Keepsareasafe,cleanand organized.
- Performs other related duties asrequired.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Oneyear ofmanufacturing/productionexperience. Quality control experience preferred.
- Good listening skills.
- Good record keeping skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Accurate measurement capability.
- Ability to read and write in English.
