Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates for Data Center projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications and client requirements.
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to determine project scope and requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for estimates.
• Utilize Accubid estimating software to develop comprehensive cost estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities within project estimates and provide recommendations to mitigate risks.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and labor costs to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
• Review and validate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure alignment with project needs.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and post-bid reviews as required.
• Support the handover process to project teams, ensuring a smooth transition from estimating to execution.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical estimating, with a strong focus on Data Center projects.
• Proficiency in Accubid estimating software is required.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and industry standards.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret complex project drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  
  

Day-to-Day

• Review project documentation and develop detailed electrical estimates using Accubid software.
• Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and availability information.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure estimates align with project goals and client expectations.
• Monitor and update cost databases to reflect current market conditions.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and opportunities.
• Provide support and guidance to junior estimators as needed.
