Daksta has been exclusively retained by a nationally recognised Top 10 Electrical Contractor to appoint an Electrical Estimator to support the delivery of some of the most significant and technically complex electrical packages on large scale Hospital/ Healthcare or Mission Critical/ Data Center projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping bids for mega projects that are genuinely career-defining, working alongside industry-leading professionals on flagship builds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate electrical cost estimates from take-off through bid hand-off by reviewing drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract requirements for hospital/healthcare and mission-critical and data centre projects.
- Complete detailed on-screen take-offs for power distribution, lighting, low-voltage, controls, and medium-voltage systems, including labour, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing using ConEst Estimating Software.
- Develop pricing for change orders, maintain organised estimating documentation and cost databases, and support forecasting and estimating accuracy improvements.
- Solicit, review, and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure compliance with project specifications and secure competitive pricing.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, clients, consultants, and vendors during pre-construction, attending pre-bid meetings, scope reviews, and site visits to clarify project requirements.
- Evaluate project risks, value-engineering opportunities, and constructability while interpreting blueprints and preparing competitive bid submissions within project deadlines.
Qualifications & Requirements (Electrical Estimator):
- Minimum 5 years of dedicated electrical estimating experience, with a proven ability to lead estimates on complex projects from pre-construction through final submission.
- Demonstrated experience estimating large-scale, hospital/ healthcare and ground-up mission critical/data center projects valued at $10M-$100M, with exposure to high-value electrical scopes and mission-critical or complex construction environments.
- Background working for an electrical contractor, with a strong understanding of contractor-side estimating processes (candidates with owner’s representative–only experience will not be considered).
- Proven employment stability, reflecting long-term commitment and consistency within previous roles.
