Construction Safety Professional:
Daksta is currently partnered with a leading top 200 ENR ranked commercial GC, headquartered in Maryland, with revenues at $750M.
They're seeking a strong safety professional to work on their ground-up projects in the DMV region, on projects up to $150M.
The Company:
A Maryland based commercial general contractor, working in a huge range of markets including commercial, government, education, life science, mission critical, residential and more - working on projects up to $1B.
The company has a strong backlog of work in Maryland, and so does not do layoffs or ask their safety professionals to do excessive travel. This hire is purely because of continuous strategic growth.
The ideal candidate will be ambitiously trying to grow within the business, and plan on being with the company long-term.
The culture is one that has a strong family feel - not too big that you get the lost in the big corporate machine, but not small enough where they struggle to win work or have impact.
General Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee site-specific safety plans, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and job hazard analyses to identify and mitigate risks.
- Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training for all field personnel and subcontractors.
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions, providing corrective actions and follow-up reporting.
- Collaborate with project leadership to promote a proactive safety culture and ensure safe work practices across all operations.
Requirements:
- 5 years as a construction safety professional.
- OSHA 30 certifications.
- Experience working on commercial construction projects ranging from $30M .
- Experience working with general contractors.
- Bachelor's degree in related construction field preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive base salary of $100,000 to $125,000.
