Licensed Massage Therapist

Dakota Mesa Bodywork by Christina is growing, and we’re looking for a passionate, dependable, and client-centered Licensed Massage Therapist to join our team!

Dakota Mesa was created with the intention of giving people a place to slow down, reconnect with their bodies, and feel genuinely cared for. Our approach to bodywork is individualized, therapeutic, and rooted in creating a calm, welcoming environment for every client.

As we expand into an additional treatment room, we’re looking for a therapist who wants to grow alongside a small, locally owned wellness business and become part of the Dakota Mesa team.

Position Details

• Position: Licensed Massage Therapist
• Employment: Part-time - Full-time employee
• Hours: Approximately 10–25 hours per week
• Pay: 50% commission on hands-on massage services performed
• Flexible scheduling based on availability and client demand
• Additional opportunities to build your clientele as the practice grows

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Currently licensed and in good standing as a Massage Therapist in South Dakota
• Professional, reliable, and punctual
• Compassionate and genuinely passionate about helping people feel better
• Comfortable working independently while also being part of a small team
• Confident communicating with clients and creating a comfortable therapeutic experience
• Open to continuing education and expanding their skills
• Respectful of client boundaries, privacy, and individual needs
• Interested in holistic wellness and individualized care

Massage Modalities

Experience with a variety of modalities is welcome. We especially value therapists who have experience with or an interest in:

• Swedish massage
• Deep tissue
• Medium-to-firm/deep pressure
• Sports massage
• Prenatal massage
• Lymphatic drainage
• Cupping
• Relaxation and nervous-system-focused bodywork
• Other specialized modalities

You do not need to practice every modality listed. We’re interested in your individual strengths and what you enjoy bringing to your clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, therapeutic massage tailored to each client’s needs
• Complete client intake and maintain appropriate treatment documentation
• Communicate professionally with clients before, during, and after sessions
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized treatment room
• Follow all applicable South Dakota laws, regulations, and professional standards
• Maintain client confidentiality
• Communicate appropriately with the Dakota Mesa team regarding scheduling and client care
• Represent Dakota Mesa Bodywork professionally both in and outside the treatment room
