WEEKEND ON-CALL NURSE – FARGO, ND
Dakota Home Care is looking for a dependable and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a Weekend On-Call Nurse.
This is a great opportunity for a nurse who wants additional income, a flexible schedule, and the ability to support patients and field staff when they need it most.
Position: Weekend On-Call Nurse
Location: Fargo, ND
Schedule: Weekend on-call coverage
Reports to: Director of Nursing
Weekend On-Call Schedule
- Friday afternoon through Monday morning, beginning when the office closes Friday at 12:00 PM and continuing until the office opens Monday at 8:00 AM
- Available by phone to respond to patient, caregiver, and staff needs
- Available to respond in person to complete a nurse visit within 1 hour of call in Fargo and surrounding areas
- Responsible for addressing urgent clinical concerns and coordinating appropriate care
What You’ll Do
- Provide professional clinical support and guidance to patients, families, and caregivers
- Respond promptly and appropriately to after-hours calls
- Assess patient concerns and determine appropriate interventions
- Assist with urgent staffing and scheduling issues when necessary
- Document all clinical communication and interventions accurately
- Follow agency policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
- Help ensure continuity of quality patient care outside normal office hours
What We’re Looking For
- Current RN Licence in North Dakota
- Home health or healthcare experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and assessment skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to remain calm and professional in urgent situations
- Comfortable working independently and making sound clinical decisions
