Dakota Digital, Inc., a leading manufacturer of digital automotive gauges and vehicle electronics, is seeking an experienced Setup Machinist to join our CNC machining team.
This role is responsible for preparing machines for production, setting tooling, verifying first article parts, and supporting operators during production runs. We are looking for someone who enjoys problem solving, understands machining processes, and takes pride in producing accurate, high quality parts.
This position works closely with operators, programmers, and engineers to keep production running efficiently.
What you’ll do
• Perform machine setups for new and repeat CNC jobs
• Load and qualify tooling and set offsets
• Verify first article parts meet dimensional and cosmetic requirements
• Troubleshoot common machining or program issues
• Train and guide machine operators on job requirements
• Monitor production to ensure parts remain within specification
