Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers and commercial trucks on routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
• Drive a variety of vehicles, adjusting driving techniques as needed for different cargo types.
• Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques or equipment like forklifts when necessary, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport.
• Navigate using GPS systems to follow optimized routes for timely deliveries while managing route driving efficiently.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks to verify mechanical condition and compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and cargo manifests in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered on the road.

Requirements

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and proven experience in commercial truck driving.
• Experience operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or roll-off trucks preferred.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments during trips.
• Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety.

Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
