Duties
- Assist with the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris and setting up safety barriers.
- Support heavy equipment operators in tasks such as dozer, loader, backhoe, grader, and front loader truck operation to move materials efficiently.
- Help with asphalt paving activities, including spreading, leveling, and compacting asphalt to ensure smooth surfaces.
- Operate dump trucks for transporting materials to and from job sites while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct utility locating to identify underground utilities before excavation or paving begins.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety standards are met at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and uphold quality standards on every job.
Skills
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and front loader trucks is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of asphalt paving techniques and construction site procedures.
- Ability to perform utility locating accurately using specialized tools.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment or similar heavy machinery enhances your candidacy.
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward safety and efficiency.
- Construction site experience is preferred; previous roles involving paving or general construction work are a plus.
