Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counselor to join our team for in home services. The ideal candidate will provide individual and group counseling services to clients, focusing on their mental health and emotional well-being. This role requires a strong understanding of various therapeutic techniques and the ability to work effectively with individuals facing diverse challenges, including autism and developmental disabilities. The Counselor will play a vital role in promoting positive behavioral health outcomes through supportive interventions and guidance.
Duties
- Conduct individual counseling sessions to address clients' emotional and psychological needs.
- Implement conflict management strategies to facilitate resolution among clients.
- Provide psychotherapy services in accordance with established therapeutic practices.
- Engage in motivational interviewing to encourage clients' personal growth and self-improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance counseling skills.
Skills
- Proficient in individual group counseling techniques.
- Strong conflict management abilities, with a focus on resolution strategies.
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum and those with developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of behavior management principles applicable in therapeutic settings.
- Background in special education practices is advantageous.
