• High School Graduate - Must be out of high school, college students or beyond are what we are looking for right now
• You must have availability - we aren't looking for full time but we are looking for someone to work a consistent 15-25 hours per week. This is a deal breaker for us right now.
• We are a small family owned business - we take care of our employees who help us :)

Daisy's Ice Cream is a small Ice Cream Shop in Palatine, IL. We are customer-centric, fun, rewarding and our goal is to serve Ice Cream and make Memories!.

Do you love ice cream? Do you have a hard time deciding which toppings to use? Daisy's Ice Cream in Palatine is looking for a responsible person to help manage the shop! We are looking for a specific person who is outgoing, responsible, flexible with their schedule, self-starting, self-motivating and willing to do things without being asked.

The manager will be working as a normal server but will be responsible for:

• Assisting the owners with ordering supplies and shopping at local stores for the shop.
• Performing inventory
• Assisting the owners with employee scheduling. Communicating with the staff regarding shift changes and any scheduling issues. Interviewing potential new employees.
• Keeping a clean, organized and safe work environment

Adherence to strict sanitation standards is required and experience working in a team setting is preferred. We are seeking individuals who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to communicate clearly with coworkers.

• Part time to full time work. During the winter it will be between 15-25 hours per week (3-4 days a week) and during spring/summer hours will increase to 25-35 hours per week.
• Flexible hours - must be able to work evenings (4pm-10pm for example) & weekends. We are flexible as long as you are as you may need to cover shifts on short notice.

• Good pay with tips! Salary is negotiable depending on how much you are willing to put into the job!
• Experience at a restaurant is preferred but we are willing to train the right person even if you haven't worked in a restaurant before. We will pay for you to receive your Food Handlers Certificate if you do not have one.
• Must be outgoing and friendly - you cannot be shy at this job. Interacting with customers is a key component to making Daisy's what it is!
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Job requires serving Ice Cream to customers, ringing up customers and cleaning the shop
• High School Diploma or Equivalent is REQUIRED for this position. We are not taking High School applicants right now. Local college students are encouraged to apply as we can work around a college course schedule.
