Agricultural Consulting Services (ACS) is an independent agronomy consulting service. We provide crop consulting, environmental planning, scouting, and in field sampling service to a diverse client base.
ACS is a subsidiary of Dairy One Cooperative Inc. Headquartered in Ithaca, NY, and with operations nationwide. We are a national leader in delivering products, information, laboratory services, and consulting to a wide variety of agricultural businesses. Our 260 employees have been driving profit-enhancing decisions in the agricultural sector for 76 years.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide support and direction to all ACS personnel in a way that results in a team that feels respected, is growing in skills and knowledge, supports each other’s work, and is committed to making a difference for our Clients.
- Identify changes necessary to grow our market, increase our efficiency, and increase the value we deliver to clients.
- Advise the Executive Management team of current market conditions and suggest priorities for optimizing the value Dairy One can bring to the market. Including apprising them significant changes and potential threats.
- Direct the development of our Agronomy software platform to support increased efficiency in delivering services and supports an increased value to clients.
- Collaborate with ACS Consultants, and our internal Marketing team to reach target markets, promote the value of ACS services, increase profitability, and promote sales growth.
- Responsibility for staffing, training, and oversight for a team of 30 people.
- Engage with key stakeholders in the agronomy community including animal agriculture, row crops, fruits, and vegetables.
- Oversight and planning for a budget of $4 million.
- Collaborate with other Division leaders to link Dairy One services in a way that increases the value provided to Clients.
- Foster continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance processes, systems, and services to improve profitability, efficiency, safety, and employee experience.

- Bachelor’s degree in animal science, Agricultural Economics, Environmental Science, Plant Science, or Chemistry preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in agronomy
- Prior Experience in employee management, budgeting, and sales preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to professionally communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills with a proactive mindset for identifying areas for process improvement.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
