Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager to support daily golf shop and facility operations. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for golf, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to exceptional customer service. The Assistant Manager will help oversee staff, ensure smooth day-to-day operations, and maintain a high standard of service for our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing daily golf shop operations and staff
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers with purchases and inquiries
- Oversee tee time scheduling, reservations, and customer flow
- Process transactions and ensure accurate sales reporting
- Support inventory management, merchandising, and restocking
- Maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and organization of the golf shop
- Assist in training and supervising staff to ensure consistent service standards
- Help coordinate promotions, events, and member communications
- Ensure golf carts are staged, cleaned, and ready for daily use
- Address customer concerns professionally and efficiently
- Collaborate with management and staff to ensure smooth overall operations
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
- Previous golf shop or supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of golf operations and equipment is a plus
- Experience with point-of-sale systems and basic reporting
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
