Restaurant/Bar Manager

Job Summary

Daigo Sushi Roll Bar is seeking an experienced, dependable, and guest-focused Restaurant/Bar Manager to oversee daily restaurant and bar operations. The ideal candidate will lead the team, maintain high standards of food and beverage service, support guest satisfaction, manage inventory and staffing, and help ensure smooth and efficient operations.

This position is ideal for a strong hospitality leader who can multitask, make sound decisions, and maintain a professional environment during busy restaurant and bar service.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant and bar operations
• Lead, supervise, and support restaurant and bar team members
• Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service to guests
• Monitor food, sushi, beverage, and service quality standards
• Train, coach, and support employees to maintain consistent service
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and employee development as needed
• Prepare and manage staff schedules and shift assignments
• Monitor attendance, performance, and staffing needs
• Handle guest questions, requests, and concerns professionally
• Oversee POS, payment, and cash-handling procedures
• Monitor daily sales and restaurant/bar performance
• Manage food, beverage, and bar inventory
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and organizing supplies
• Monitor product levels and reduce unnecessary waste
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe dining, bar, and service areas
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures are followed
• Support responsible and professional beverage service practices
• Oversee opening and closing procedures
• Support the team during busy restaurant and bar service periods
• Communicate operational needs and issues to ownership or senior management
• Assist with promotions, special events, and restaurant activities
• Ensure restaurant policies and service standards are consistently followed
• Perform additional management duties as assigned

Requirements

• Previous restaurant, bar, or hospitality management experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of restaurant and beverage service operations
• Strong leadership and team-management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organization and time-management abilities
• Experience with POS systems and cash-handling procedures
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to train, coach, and motivate team members
• Reliable, professional, and accountable work ethic
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods

Preferred Skills

• Restaurant Manager, Bar Manager, Assistant Manager, or General Manager experience
• Experience managing a restaurant with bar operations
• Knowledge of sushi, Japanese cuisine, or Japanese-style hospitality is a plus
• Beverage and bar-service experience
• Staff scheduling and shift coordination experience
• Food, beverage, and inventory management knowledge
• Strong guest-service and conflict-resolution skills
• Experience with employee training and development
• Ability to multitask and make decisions under pressure
• Positive leadership style and ability to build a strong team environment

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
