Responsibilities
The Machine Operator plays a crucial role in operating the CNC machine to cut and build rollers. Key responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities
- Measuring and setting up machines to manufacture high volumes of parts
- Performing machine shop and mold press operations to support Assembly
- Detecting defective materials and questionable conditions and reporting to the manager
- Maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition
- Following safety regulations
- Performing preventative maintenance on machines
- Ensuring sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience
- Ability to use a band saw, hand tools, and calipers, and perform milling, turning, drilling, taping, deburring, molding, and all bench operations
- Ability to read blueprints
- Basic math skills
- Knowledge of standard and metric measurements
- Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
