As a leader in the culinary services department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high-quality meals and exceptional dining experiences for our residents.
About the Role:
As the Culinary Director, you will oversee the daily operations of the dietary department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing departmental budgets, and leading a dedicated team committed to exceptional resident care. Your passion for providing nutritious, high-quality meals and a positive dining experience will shine through in every aspect of your work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the dietary department to ensure quality food service and resident satisfaction
- Collaborate with dietitians and culinary staff to develop nutritious, appealing menus that meet residents' dietary needs
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations
- Manage food, supply, and labor budgets while maintaining quality and efficiency
- Monitor inventory levels and oversee purchasing of food and supplies
- Recruit, train, supervise, and support dietary team members
- Foster strong communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to promote exceptional resident care
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Current ServSafe Certification required
- Minimum of 2 Years experience in oversight of food/food related services, preferably in healthcare or long-term care
- Associate degree or higher in Food Service Management, Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, dietary guidelines, and budget management
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical duties including standing, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling throughout the workday
