Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities whilemaintaining and growing an existing client base across Minnesota. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, working closely with internal engineering teams to deliver tailored technology solutions that align with their operational and strategic goals.
- Manage and expand an existing portfolio of clients while actively prospecting new business opportunities
- Identify client needs and recommend customized technology solutions
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support implementation of:
- Data network infrastructure
- Wireless networks
- Security systems
- Voice and phone solutions (including IP-based systems)
- Drive expansion into municipal, government, and SMB markets
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and follow-up
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing
- Travel as needed to meet with clients and support regional initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales, preferably within a technical or technology-focused environment
- Strong knowledge of networking technologies, including data networks and infrastructure
- Experience or familiarity with IP phone systems and voice solutions
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to build strong client relationships
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and follow through on sales activities
- Strong interpersonal skills with a professional and approachable demeanor
- Prior experience in technical or solution-based sales
- Knowledge of wireless networks, security systems, and broader IT infrastructure solutions
- Experience working with public sector, municipal, or SMB clients
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
