About the Role
We are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our client’s team for a 6 month temporary assignment. This position supports a growing financial institution by providing essential HR services, including administrative tasks, employee assistance, and light recruiting activities. The role is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills and a passion for delivering accurate, timely HR support.
Job Description
As an HR Coordinator, you will handle a variety of administrative and transactional HR responsibilities to ensure smooth operations within the HR department. Key duties include:
Administrative & HR Support
- Perform accurate data entry in HRIS for job changes, terminations, and updates.
- Maintain digital employee files and assist with PTO and leave tracking.
- Respond to routine HR inbox questions and schedule interviews or meetings.
- Support new hire onboarding, including paperwork, I-9 verification, and background checks.
Recruiting & Hiring Assistance
- Post job openings and manage applicant tracking workflows.
- Screen resumes, coordinate interviews, and communicate with candidates.
- Prepare offer letters using approved templates and assist with reference checks.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
Benefits & Payroll Support
- Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations.
- Answer routine benefits questions and support new hire benefit onboarding.
- Collect and validate timecards, track PTO and leaves, and flag discrepancies for review.
Performance & Compliance
- Support performance review cycles and ensure compliance with HR policies.
Qualifications
Required
Previous HR experience or light HR exposure (entry-level candidates considered).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic HRIS functions.
Preferred
- Experience with benefits administration and payroll preparation.
- Familiarity with recruiting processes and applicant tracking systems.
- Knowledge of HR compliance and performance review procedures.
