Job Description
The Desktop Provisioning Support Representative provides frontline IT support for internal systems, hardware, and applications. This role works closely with internal IT teams to support new hire onboarding, manage equipment lifecycle processes, and minimize disruptions to daily business operations.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Acting as a first point of contact for employee technical support via phone, chat, email, and remote tools
- Supporting the ticketing process for new equipment requests and returned hardware
- Preparing, imaging, packaging, and shipping computer equipment for new hires
- Following and documenting standard processes for tracking provisioning activity
- Communicating clearly and professionally with a large and diverse employee population
- Accurately documenting issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions for escalation, audit, and review purposes
- Ensuring adherence to organizational security standards to protect systems and data
Required Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with desktop or hardware support
- IT provisioning experience
- Intermediate knowledge of:
- Troubleshooting fundamentals
- Current Windows operating systems
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability and willingness to learn new tools, systems, and processes
- Comfort working in a structured, process-driven IT environment
- CompTIA A Certification
- Experience with device imaging and/or mobile device support
- Intermediate knowledge of Chrome OS and macOS
- Basic familiarity with Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) in a corporate environment
