We are hiring an Account Manager on behalf of a well-established electronics manufacturing company based in Mankato, MN. This organization specializes in delivering high-quality, custom electronic solutions to a diverse client base. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, customer-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about building long-term client relationships.

This is a strategic role—not just order-taking. You’ll be the voice of the customer internally and a trusted advisor externally, helping to drive business growth and operational excellence.

Job Description
As an Account Manager, you will:

• Manage and grow revenue across assigned customer accounts.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnership.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to align on customer expectations and deliverables.
• Lead the quoting process, ensuring proposals are accurate, timely, and profitable.
• Monitor and maintain customer profitability and margin targets.
• Process customer requests including purchase orders, quote requests, engineering changes, returns, and corrective actions.
• Organize and host customer visits to manufacturing sites.
• Develop and maintain account plans, including sales forecasting and trend analysis.
• Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with strategic accounts.
• Support sales efforts by identifying leads and sharing insights with the sales team.
• Travel occasionally for customer meetings and site visits.

Qualifications
Required:

• 5 years of experience in account management, program management, or customer service (preferably in a manufacturing or technical environment).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience working with electronic manufacturing services (EMS) or similar industries.
• Familiarity with customer profitability analysis and account planning.
