About The Role
Perform a variety of moderately complex and detailed inspections in support of Production, Manufacturing, Engineering, engineering projects, and aircraft certification. Perform diverse and difficult visual, mechanical, and functional inspection duties on detail parts, sub-assemblies, installations and aircraft including but not limited to system checks, testing calibration, verification, measuring, and documentation of mechanical and cosmetic acceptance or rejection of components/systems.

About The Role
Perform a variety of moderately complex and detailed inspections in support of Production, Manufacturing, Engineering, engineering projects, and aircraft certification. Perform diverse and difficult visual, mechanical, and functional inspection duties on detail parts, sub-assemblies, installations and aircraft including but not limited to system checks, testing calibration, verification, measuring, and documentation of mechanical and cosmetic acceptance or rejection of components/systems.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities (other Duties May Be Assigned)
- Perform assigned inspection functions working from Quest and Supplier type design drawings, CAD models, Material Review Board (MRB) dispositions, Quest Process Specifications, material specifications, Purchase Order specifications, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Regulations, Quality Assurance Manual (QAM), approved industrial/commercial specifications, approved handbooks, Job Travelers, engineering/tooling /rework orders, and approved written/verbal instructions.
- Conduct destructive and non-destructive tests.
- Review aircraft and engine log books for all pilot reports and squawks that are to be corrected by production personnel.
- Perform buy-back inspections on major items or squawk items, sign-off log book, and pilot reports upon completion of work.
- Inspect component exchanges covered by work instructions during other manufacturing functions.
- Write Non-conforming Material Reports (NMR’s) for MRB dispositioning. May require re-inspection responsibilities after work is performed.
- Perform inspections of Required Inspection Items (RII).
- Monitor assigned work areas for adherence to processes and procedures, proper use of tools and fixtures, calibration date of tools in use, shelf life of life limited items (i.e. rubber goods, adhesives, sealants, etc.), proper storage of materials and components, and safety practices.
- Handle and document critical flight items such as aircraft weight and balance, engine runs, flight control surface balancing and rigging, final OK to close, etc.
- May be required to train and assist other employees.
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
- Minimum 2 year's experience as an Aircraft Quality Inspector position or equivalent experience performing quality inspections in a manufacturing setting. (preferred)
- Understanding of general aspects of Quality and aircraft manufacturing.
- High degree of mechanical aptitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Must have high attention to detail with the ability to work thoroughly and quickly in a production environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

- Salary Range: $22 - $30 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
