Dagen is recruiting a Sr. Lease and Contracts Analyst for oil & gas client.
This role is responsible for ensuring data accuracy, tracking obligations, and supporting land operations related to assets that are acquired, owned, operated, or purchased.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, interpret, and input lease data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency within the system
- Prepare full and partial releases, assignments, and Exhibit A documents for producing properties
- Assist with maintaining monthly lease calendars, including tracking key dates and obligations
- Support Land Operations teams as needed across various projects and initiatives
- Conduct lease and unit reviews for shut-in wells and process related payments (subject to approval)
- Identify and track contractual obligations tied to acquisitions, trades, and divestitures
- Participate in special projects, including Acquisition & Divestiture (A&D) activities
- Monitor and track lease development to ensure compliance with contractual requirements
- Interpret leases and contracts, identifying and resolving data, technical, and procedural issues
- Recommend solutions and process improvements to enhance efficiency and data integrity
- Process and track partner offerings and maintain accurate ownership and contract records
- Prepare agreement exhibits, lease summaries, and acreage reports for business units and leadership
- Serve as a point of contact for landowners and stakeholders, addressing questions related to property status and land processes
- Maintain active involvement in industry associations through meetings and networking
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of relevant land, lease, or contracts experience
- Strong understanding of land principles, terminology, and contract interpretation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Quorum Land System and/or SAP is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle confidential and proprietary information with discretion
- Experience with New Mexico leases and contracts is a plus
Salary : $60 - $63
