Dagen Personnel is recruiting a Procurement Associate based in Irving/Las Colinas, TX, for a leading company focused on developing next-generation data center infrastructure.
This position will support the procurement of owner-furnished mechanical and plumbing equipment for a major data center construction program. The role will manage purchase orders, support sourcing and RFQs, expedite long-lead equipment, track deliveries, coordinate with EPC and site teams, and ensure equipment arrives according to the construction schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage purchase orders for mechanical equipment, including chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, pumps, piping, valves, VFDs, and related systems.
- Support RFQs, bid tabulations, supplier communications, and awards.
- Expedite long-lead equipment and monitor production and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate OFCI equipment deliveries with EPC and site teams.
- Manage the full PO lifecycle, including change orders, milestone payments, invoice discrepancies, and closeout.
- Coordinate vendor submittals, drawings, FATs, and factory testing.
- Assist with OS&D and warranty claims.
- Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, lead-time, and PO information.
Qualifications:
- 4–6 years of hands-on procurement/buying experience with capital equipment, engineered systems, or construction materials.
- Experience purchasing mechanical equipment, such as chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, pumps, HVAC equipment, or similar systems.
- Experience with the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process and ERP-based purchasing.
- Experience managing long-lead equipment and expediting deliveries.
- Knowledge of commercial terms, including Incoterms, freight terms, payment milestones, and warranties.
- Strong Excel and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred:
- Experience in data center, mission-critical, semiconductor, heavy industrial, EPC, or similar environments.
- Experience with OFCI/CFCI delivery models and working with EPC or GC partners.
- Experience coordinating factory acceptance testing.
- Ability to read mechanical equipment schedules, specifications, and submittals.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Coupa, or similar ERP/procurement systems.
- APICS/ASCM or ISM certification is a plus.
