Our client is seeking an experienced Contract Specialist to join its team supporting a variety of technology-related procurement and vendor agreements. This role is responsible for reviewing, redlining, negotiating, and administering contracts to ensure they align with the organization's business objectives while minimizing risk. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with technical, legal, tax, and risk management teams to facilitate successful contract execution and vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, redline, negotiate, and finalize a variety of IT-related agreements, including: Professional Services Agreements
- Software License Agreements
- SaaS Agreements
- Data Licensing Agreements
- Hardware and Telecommunications Agreements
- Statements of Work (SOWs)
- Order Forms
- Partner with internal stakeholders, including technical teams, legal, tax, and risk management, to ensure contract terms align with business objectives and organizational policies.
- Coordinate with outside legal counsel, as needed, to support complex negotiations and contract revisions.
- Evaluate contract language to identify and mitigate legal, financial, and operational risks.
- Ensure contracts are executed accurately and in accordance with company standards and compliance requirements.
- Maintain organized contract documentation and provide support throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal business partners to facilitate efficient contract negotiations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3 years of experience negotiating and administering commercial contracts, preferably within the energy, technology, or related industries.
- Demonstrated experience redlining and negotiating IT-related agreements, including Professional Services, software licensing, SaaS, data licensing, hardware, telecommunications, Statements of Work (SOWs), and Order Forms.
- Strong understanding of contract terminology, risk assessment, and commercial negotiation strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
