✅ Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, state regulations, and internal controls
- Manage and oversee general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Support tax planning, preparation, and filings, including cannabis-specific considerations (e.g., 280E)
- Partner with leadership to provide financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, and advisors
- Monitor cash flow, cost controls, and operational spending
- Assist with process improvements and financial system optimization
- Maintain accurate documentation and support audit readiness
- Active CPA license (required)
- 3 years of experience in accounting or finance
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets and accounting software
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with executives and department leaders
- Experience in cannabis, manufacturing, or other regulated industries
- Familiarity with IRC 280E and cannabis tax structures
- Public accounting background (Big 4 or regional firm experience a plus)
- Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-site operations
- Accurate, timely financial reporting delivered consistently
- Strong compliance posture with minimal audit findings
