This role plays a critical part in supporting accounting operations by ensuring timely processing of payables and receivables, accurate reconciliations, and clean financial data across our corporate and cannabis operations.
🧾 Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping activities, including recording financial transactions and maintaining accurate records
- Process and track Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoice entry, payments, and collections
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts on a regular basis
- Maintain and update the general ledger with proper documentation and coding
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure accurate recordkeeping
- Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing reports and reconciliations
- Maintain organized financial documentation for internal use and audits
- Ensure compliance with company policies and assist with regulatory requirements
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in bookkeeping workflows
- 2 years of bookkeeping or related experience
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
- Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets and accounting software
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Experience in the cannabis industry
- Familiarity with multi-entity or multi-site operations
- Experience supporting audits or working in regulated environments
- Knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms
- Accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Timely processing of payables and receivables
- Clean, well-organized documentation and reconciliations
