Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and closeout of construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Develop comprehensive project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 and other construction management software to coordinate tasks effectively.
- Oversee project scope, contracts, and change orders, ensuring all work complies with design schematics, blueprints, and specifications.
- Manage procurement processes including construction estimating, subcontractor selection, and bid evaluations utilizing HeavyBid or similar estimating software.
- Facilitate communication between clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project coordination.
- Monitor construction site activities for safety compliance and quality assurance; conduct regular site inspections leveraging Civil 3D and other technical tools.
- Review and interpret schematics and blueprints; ensure accurate implementation of design intent on-site.
- Track project progress through detailed scheduling and reporting; proactively identify potential delays or issues using project management best practices.
- Administer contracts and negotiate terms with vendors and subcontractors to optimize project outcomes.
- Maintain meticulous records of project documentation including daily logs, incident reports, change orders, and progress reports.
- Support the development of project budgets by providing accurate cost estimates; monitor expenditures throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in civil or heavy construction projects; site experience is highly valued.
- Demonstrated proficiency with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Civil 3D, HeavyBid or equivalent tools for scheduling, estimating, and document control.
- Solid understanding of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, contracts administration, and construction site safety protocols.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for clear collaboration with diverse teams including clients, contractors, engineers, and suppliers.
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately and translate them into actionable on-site activities.
- Knowledge of project scheduling techniques and construction estimating processes to support cost control efforts.
- Relevant certifications such as OSHA safety certification or PMP (Project Management Professional) are preferred but not mandatory.
