Position Summary📒:
Respected & well-established CA-based mid-size law firm headquartered in downtown LA has a current opening for a Financial Controller with a minimum 5 years law firm experience (REQUIRED). Role reports directly to the firm's Director of Finance.
Responsibilities📈:
- Oversee all financial aspects of the firm, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and legal regulations, including trust accounting.
- Manage and improve accounting processes including billing, collections, and expense reimbursements via SOP’s.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, assess performance, and recommend improvements.
- Develop and implement budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Co-Manage and supervise the accounting department staff with Director of Finance.
Required Qualifications/Skills📢:
- 7 years of experience in Controller/Assistant Controller role in law firm REQUIRED.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, financial analysis, cash flow management skills, and experience with financial reporting tools.
- Experience with legal accounting software, Elite 3E preferred, advanced Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with CPA designation preferred.
- Strong knowledge of law firm Partnerships, tax laws, and financial compliance
Salary/Compensation💰& Health Benefits:
