Duties
- Develop detailed landscape designs using advanced CAD software such as AutoCAD.
- Oversee project management tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, coordinating with contractors on landscaping and hardscape installation, and ensuring adherence to safety standards and neighborhood guidelines.
- Meet with clients, builders, and project managers to discuss project goals, budgets, and timelines
- Collaborate with the construction department to ensure designs are executed accurately
- Recommend plants, materials, and layout solutions based on site conditions and client preferences
- Revise designs and estimates as needed based on feedback
- Maintain clear communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape design or related fields with proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD), Revit, Rhino 3D, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and GIS software such as ArcGIS or ArcView.
- Strong knowledge of horticulture principles, landscaping techniques, hardscape construction, irrigation systems, land surveying methods, and sustainable design practices for the Lowcountry.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes.
- Understanding of civil engineering concepts relevant to landscape projects such as grading, drainage, and site planning.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for presenting ideas clearly to clients and team members.
