A leading Southeastern Massachusetts site/utility contractor currently seeking an experienced Staff Accountant.
Responsibilities:
· Primary function - Accounts Payable/entering & paying invoices/and all duties related to AP function
-sorting mail, scanning invoices, distributing for approval, coding, matching invoices to purchase orders and, or received documents, entering invoices, paying vendors by check and credit card, verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements, sales tax reporting, filing, tracking lien waivers and certificates of insurance and assist with projects as assigned.
· Support to Accounts Receivable and Payroll functions
· Recording of general ledger transactions
· Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations
· Intercompany transactions
· Assist with fuel consumption records and filings
· Provide support during audits
· Interdepartmental cross training
· Other administrative duties and additional duties as assigned
Required Skills:
· 5 years general accounting experience
· Strong understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles and procedures
· Proficient utilizing Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word & Outlook)
· Strong attention to detail
· Ability to meet deadlines
· Excellent organizational and analytical skills
· Excellent time management skills
· Work well independently as well as in a team setting
· Enjoy working in a fast-past environment
Full-Time position; 40 hours per week. Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
